MEET THEIR TEACHERS
Mary Tere Orozco Zepeda
is one of the full-time teachers on the Live Lingua team. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and a Master’s Degree in Speech, Language, and Communication Therapy focused on kids. She has been a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language since 2016 and has experience working with kids. She is also preparing for certifications ELE in general, ELE online, ELE for kids, and Gaming Therapy Training.
Julieth Angélica Ramírez Güiza
is one of the full-time teachers on the Live Lingua team. She has a degree in teaching English and Spanish as foreign languages and a master’s degree in applied Linguistics of Spanish as a Foreign Language. She has been a Teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language since 2016 and has experience working with kids from 8 years and upward. She also has a certificate in Pedagogy and Didactics of Spanish as a Foreign Language.

Who is the Summer Camp For?
The Live Lingua Summer Camp is a NEW program for students aged 7-11 and 12-15 years old. It’s open to any kids or teens who want to start learning Spanish; even if they haven’t taken Spanish lessons before!
What will my kid or teenager get out of this Summer Camp?
In addition to having a ton of FUN while learning? Students are going to learn how to talk about themselves, activities they like to do for fun and communicate proficiently using basic Spanish.
Students will get to learn to work in a group environment with other students their age and level of Spanish which is guided by a qualified and experienced teacher.
Your kids and teens will get to play games, complete family activities, and share their culture in Spanish.
What is included in the Summer Camp for my kid or teenager?
One of two groups of a maximum of 4 students.
Two group sessions per day Mon-Fri for 4-weeks
60 hours of group Spanish lessons in the Summer Camp
All digital materials and links needed to complete the lessons.
What does my kid or teenager need to participate in the Summer Camp?
At a minimum, a laptop or computer with a webcam and a reliable Internet connection.
Adult supervision: It will be important for an adult to be close by to assist with connecting to the class everyday or to help the student gather items for exercises and activities throughout the camp.

How did a Peace Corps volunteer, a teacher, and a black lab successfully break down cultural barriers?
When Ray Blakney, a U.S. Peace Corp volunteer stationed in Mexico, met, and married his wife Laura, a local Spanish teacher, they recognized how learning a new language changed their lives. They wanted to help others build meaningful connections as well, by breaking down those cultural barriers.
Ray, Laura, and their black lab Frida opened a chain of successful brick and mortar language schools in Mexico. In 2010, they decided to bring the language immersion experience into everybody’s home! So, they sold their schools and made their courses available online.
That’s when Live Lingua was born!
